The Hungarian short film 'In the Shadow of a Tree', released in 2024, follows the life of a wild pear tree through different eras, spanning generations. The story intertwines with the life of a young boy, whose difficult circumstances also impact the tree's journey. Their relationship and shared path highlight the profound consequences of individual decisions within the interconnected web of life.
The short film won the Best Editing award at the Berlin Indie Film Festival in July 2024.
Mindful Movies Production is a creative group engaged in making short films and music videos, as well as composing film scores and writing screenplays.
Olivér Hudák grew up in close connection with nature, where even as a child he was drawn to the small details of the world around him. This inspiration continues to appear in his visual storytelling and music to this day.
His works often explore the importance of mindfulness and the search for the meaning of life, characterized by subtle psychological and spiritual layers. For him, film, music, and photography provide an opportunity to continuously develop his technical skills and artistic expression, creating refined and sensitive works that convey deeper thoughts and emotions to the audience.
Since childhood, Péter Albert has been fascinated by various forms of creative expression, primarily music. As a songwriter, his work often revolves around recurring themes such as human alienation, fragmentation, the inner journey, and the return to unity.
Over the years, photography, studio work, and literary translation have also become an integral part of his artistic world. He is the founder of his own music studio, Zenharmonix. His interest in cinematic storytelling has provided him with yet another source of inspiration. Across all fields, his work is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a patient, deeply immersive creative process.
Mindful Movies Production currently operates entirely self-funded. We created our first short film in our spare time using our own equipment, with the generous contribution of both amateur and professional actors — a true passion project.
